Today I'm just looking for a soft place to fall.

The skies are powder blue, no clouds in sight, first time in weeks it seems like, the high winds, punishing rains and hail have abated.

We had our inspection today, the yearly one, and it took all of 5 minutes or less, hehe, I spent a week washing, scrubbing, dusting, and making sure even Cinderella would marvel at the cleanliness .....all for naught.

Next week is the week I'm going on my fishing trip, except for a fishing license, I'm all set. Everything will be provided for save for bug spray and sun tan lotion.

The baby here, Chanel, has taken over the house. She truly is spoiled, yet happy. She behaved herself very well during the inspection, staying out from underfoot.
Even with frequent brushing she's shedding a lot, then again the temp. turned warm really fast after a cold spring.

I finally mailed my younger sister the box with family photos, I"ve only had it for 2 years and 2 weeks! She was very patient about how long it took me to return them, trusting, it was so good to be able to take them out and look at them from time to time. I scanned them to my puter, and will be making copies. I have special projects going, for both sisters, as gifts, that involve the pictures. My last attempt, putting marbles on a framed picture of Grama Lottie wasn't the best! My heart was in it, however I thought it didn't look all that great.
Grama Lottie would play marbles with us girls when we were little, and it's a great memory and I thought a framed picture of Gram surrounded by marbles would be sweet. Well.......

The radishes and carrots are coming up already, I pulled three radishes yesterday and gave them to neighbor. They look real good this year. I think that manure they put on the garden, last fall, did the trick. I planted the vegetables in different spots in hopes of keeping the pests away. That's what the gardening magazine reccomends, so....
The tomato plants are growing, however...the onion seeds and tomato seeds haven't sprouted anything yet and I hear it might take fall for them to come up! Yikes! Live and learn.

I think that using the fleamarket here in town, for vegies, might help too since food prices here keep rising. Each week sees a new high for everyday items, bananas alone were .69 cents a pound.
