It's been a gray and rainy day here, with a little early morning sun...
Chanel woke me by literally getting up close up to my face and crying, she wanted her morning feeding and some attention.

The manager here called me after I'd been up for an hour, her and maintenance man wanted to pull the old air-conditioner and install the new one I bought. It all went smooth for them, save for moving my heavy easychair! Surprisingly there wasn't much dirt nor any cobwebs even though that old monster of an air-conditioner was 30 years old!

Does anyone here remember those old pearl collars worn in the 50's? You'd wear one with a sweater, it'd have a little eye and hook to secure it. Well I got one today, from where I live, and it's real fur. Not faux stuff. Quite old too. A lovely silvery beige one. I can't believe what some people are donating to the "free bench" here....I've put out my share of things too, some brand-new that I couldn't use.

The lone tomato plant was put into my garden today, it's the best looking tomato plant out there, I think the others planted too early and the frost hit them. The radishes are coming along nicely, too thick so I had to thin them out. I see some green coming up from the carrots already, and from the tomato seeds I bravely planted outside instead of indoors. We'll see what happens....

Yesterday the Pansies went in, only 4 packs, there isn't much room in the flower bed for more than that I think. There's already white Lilies in there and some Iris.

Supper was easy tonight, a tomato sandwich on white bread, with real butter and a smattering of powdered sugar ( which was a waste ). The tomatoes were sweet all by themselves.

Tomorrow I'm headed into the garden center again, see what else they have, I did want to try potatoes, however don't know if it's too late.

Oh I envy ( not really) all those people that filed for their stimulus pkg. money on time.....I didn't file until the first week in May, so maybe if I'm lucky I'll see the $$ in July.....******sigh****** suppose I'll miss all the sales...oh well. "Use it up, wear it out, make do, and do without".....that's what I read somewhere and it's getting easier to practice that one.
