OH oh....maybe a glitch in the works. Not for my son, for me.
For I just had a phone call and it seems a flag was raised, a red one.
Before my son came home I had more income, I lost the income as the county figured his income into mine. In real life it doesn't work like that, however they think it does.

So long story short I got behind in my payments, couldn't keep up, and now it's a "problem" for my potential landlord, HUD.
OH well.

There's no crying in baseball, right?

So unfair to include his income as part of yours....
I so hope this doesn't mean you won't be able to make the move... that would be a terrible setback...
Never say never!! That has always been my personal motto and it works!
Let us know what happens on this matter and know that I am hoping for the best...

That's life for sure! small problem.

I too hope that they consider the fact I did good before allowing son to come home, and that I'll be rectifying the situation in a month.when things go back to as before, financially speaking.

In the meantime, I'm looking for another place to move to, just in case they decide "No"....

besides, anyplace that would say "no" to me because I helped my son, which resulted in financial woes, I wouldn't want anyway!

Don't be so quick to say no to them till you have an alternative. It could have been the work of one stupid beurocrat that got this mess started.
The place sounds perfect for you.... don't say no....

Good Morning desertpeace :)
It's not that I'm saying no to them, it's that maybe I won't get the place because of my getting behind in payments.
If they say no to me, then I have to look elsewhere.....and on Friday the property manager told me that she'd use the facts that I had an excellent rent history as proof that I"m not a risk for them. Also that my income will now increase since my son is moving out. Now I can start paying off the debts again.
Sooooo, it's a waiting game. Heavens, I loved the place, and the people there were so nice to me. I'd be so let down, yet would have to go hunting for a place real quick as I"ve already given notice here!
